New Season - New Club

I have my first comp at my new club tomorrow, Cruden Bay, after leaving Murcar. The decision to move was a tough one as I've enjoyed Murcar but a house move to within 5 mins of Cruden Bay, 35 mins from Murcar, just made sense.

Apart from a full round last April, I've not played there as a member yet but I have given the practice green some stick. I am hoping to get onto the short game area later, if only to swing a club - not played a full 18 since January.

I will have to try and get over again for a game this summer. I enjoyed Murcar, despite playing very very badly. You will have to come over to Nairn some time

Captains days can be season openers, around Easter time or and of the competition season to mark its close.

Some clubs hold them in the middle of competition season as a break from all the heavy load of comps.

Good luck Bri - more importantly how far away from the pub/restaurant we went to?

You're more than welcome Patrick, and I must get up to Nairn. Definitely need to play more golf this year.

Close enough Pete, and HID doesn't drink - cheap taxi
