This. I have the Mi A2 Lite and it does everything I need but the cameras are sadly lacking.

Lacking in what sense? I don’t really use the camera for anything where it has to be artistic.. just tread damage, parts numbers etc

I have had 2 Xiaomi the mi5 and mi8 both were outstanding phones and paired with custom rooms they run better than Samsung and iPhone, the mini rom that comes with the Xiaomi is decent and has some bells and whistles you dont get on iOS of android, for the price and hardware you get it will cost you over 1k for a sammy or iphone

I have the Moto G7 Power. Does everything I need out of a phone and has a great battery life. I can't comment on the photos as I'm not really a photographer but it does for what I need. Only disappointment for me is it doesn't pick up 5GHZ Wifi, only 2.4. I believe this means you can't use your phone to pay for things, which is fine as I don't anyway.

The picture quality is more grainy than my old Moto. Pictures are more blurry etc. especially when things are moving. And compared to the wife's IPhone the Moto and Xiaomi don't come close.
That said it's just me being Uber fussy and doesn't bother me too much as it is fine for basic stuff and I'm no photographer anyway. And it cost me £130 rather than £700 for an iPhone.
