Just a quick message to say hi to everyone. Have discovered the forum recently and i think it provides great, informative reading! Really enjoying it.

Just wondering are there many members from the South West?

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

Well i've been playing now for about 9 years and have been a member of 4 different clubs around Devon and Cornwall, ending up at St Mellion at the moment (prob soon to change). I always like to try different courses. Started life with an 18 handicap, then came down to 11 within 2 years. Got stuck at 9 then for a while but got a new lease of life at St Mellion and got to 5.6. Also achieved another goal of mine, which was to break 70 (shot a 69). Our course at the moment is a bit in turmoil as there is a lot of work going on. Niclaus design is redoing a few holes on 1 course and they are preparing for the tour on the Niclaus signature course. Means a lot of temps!!

Equipment wise, I have just purchased a Titleist D1 driver, but am still figuring out the best position in my stance for it.

Goal for this year: Under 5 i think, and consistent.

Hope that tells you a thing or 2 about me!

mikeyh,

I played with HTL on Saturday and said I really fancy giving the Nicklaus another go. I played 36 holes not long after the Nicklaus (18 on the Nicklaus and 18 on the Old) opened and it gobbled my scorecard (and my golf balls) so maybe we can get a few down. There are a few West Country members on here now.
