New golf club dilemma and decisions... opinions please

What a load of rubbish. You are never mid 50's.
Chaps your comments are greatly appreciated and some very good angles and points off you.
I think the reason I'm still undecided is that cuddington has so much to offer. I would of just gone for WH straight away if it hadn't.
Entry is not quite that much as I'm still a family young whipper snapper so not one of the deciding factors.
I think the proximity of having such a decent club on my doorstep would be foolish to turn down.
On contact they did also say that there is a waiting list so speaks volumes about the club.
Glad to know some of you were looking out for me and not the members guest rates of said courses! 👍😉

You are a good mate really Craig, just that you would have been a better one at WH.;) Never mind if you choose The Cudd, I will still see you at Blackmoor.

Looks like I've got 4 hours on Monday to try and convince you that Blue in Munich really isn't a knob !

......... God, how do I do that???

I'm at the other end of the country and have heard of WH but not Cuddington. Based on my own experience, I would always go for the club with the better social aspect, especially if the courses and facilities are relatively equal. I'd also find the close proximity/walking distance to be very appealing.

I'm sure that whichever option you choose it'll work out well.

Is the social aspect that important? Playing 18 holes in at a reasonable pace, so you can get back to the family at the weekend is surely a big factor? And then why not go for the better / more challenging course. Proximity isn't really a factor (versus a 10 minute drive) - unless you can leave your clubs there and walk there. Otherwise you will invariably drive there regardless of how close it is

I guess the big question is how busy is WH at weekends and weekday afternoons? Will you be able to jump on and play 5 holes easily without waiting. I really value being able to pitch up and walk onto the course and play 5 or 9 holes with no wait
