Yep, our 11th is a par 4 with a blind approach to the green. Got there for two, pin high about 12 feet from the hole and was looking at a 4 for 4 at worst and ended up with a 6 for 2. :( I'm sure I only did it because as I was lining up my birdie putt, my playing partner said "wouldn't it be a shame if you 4 putted!" Wanker! :D

Rather than start another thread I thought I would hijack four putts one and say helloooooo.
Been playing golf since I was about 7, now 42 but to be honest fishing has always taken most of my time.
A few years ago I got down to 5 and after a five year layoff the three cards I have give me a ten which is a pleasant surprise although the driver is all over the place and my trusty old 5 wood is now impossible to hit so I’m looking for another.
I do hope there’s less arguing on here than you find on angling forums but we shall see.
Cheers for now.

no chance!

What are you talking about??? There's no arguing on here.....

Oh good I’ll fit right in then.
Should I call you all a bunch of tossers now or wait till you offend me?
Angling and golf are two very passionate pastimes so I suppose there’s no surprise if peoples opinions differ over here as well.
But they do get very offensive, even threatening each other for crying out load!
What I have always liked about golf is that the score card cuts out all the bs.
My sisters ex could hit the ball a very long way, say a 7 iron 220 yards and would always make a point of saying what club he hit or how much further his drive was and only ever beet me off the stick once.
A good old saying is that there are no pictures in golf, only score cards!
Cheers

Just don't ask about Homergate then. Welcome along. Sounds like you're going to fit right in. Where do you play

What’s that like asking the Germans about the war?
I play any where around StNeots, Cambridgeshire but spend most of my time at Wyboston.
In the past I have been a member of all three of the local courses and if I join again it will probably be Wyboston.
Nice course and easy if you are straight.
Cheers
