New driver=extra length

Yes, I increased my length by about 20yds when I got my G10. I was using a non conforming TM R580 before then.
I've got it all documented when I was fitted for the ping.

Nope never had a major distance increase in driver fitting

The only increase i have gained is driving into the wind, with lower spin rates i dont lose as much distance

No.

I did buy a T-Zoid T3 which seemed to go forever when you got it out of the middle but struggled to find it often so my average must have been about the same.

I have brought drivers that are better flighted, more controllable, impart less spin but never noticed one going further than the others.

My G10 is giving me an extra 10-20 yards over my old Callaway Steelhead Plus driver when I am swinging correctly.
Mates who I have played with regularly over the last 10 years or more are saying they've never seen me hit the ball so well and I am regularly outdriving ones that used to be longer than me.

I was only using a Big Bertha steelhead 3, until i got my TM driver. I could never hit my old Mizuno very well at all.

My regular playing partner did gain about 30 yards when he changed from a Ping to a TM, but he's a v. short hitter.

I'll not replace my TM till its worn out i dont think. As on the other posts I'm looking to cut out my wasted shorter shots!

Yes my R7 Ltd put an extra 10-15 yards on my drives over the Cleveland HiBore XLS and Cally Big Bertha I was using at the time. I have to say that my Tour Burner is equally as long but seems more accurate.

I find my new driver does go further when i hit it well but i tend to slice it alot more at the moment.

also winter mats aren't helping as i normally drive badly when playing on them. I hope the club moves us to summer tees this week as they were thinking about at the weekend.

Still early days and i will conquer it in time

I think when you get a new driver the distance is the last thing that you should think about and concentrate more on whether it hits the fairway or not...

Thats what I had in mind when I bought mine and it payed off. I have a driver im confident with now, at last.

Swapped my non conforming Cobra SS370 for a Callaway Big Bertha 454 nearly 4 years ago and saw a decrease in distance if anything but much straighter and more consistent. As someone said above I'd never look to change a driver to increase distance. I know so many single figure players who never knock it past 250 and hit 5 iron from 150, it really is for show.

Interesting, The reason I posted was that every new driver on the market always promises one thing first..MORE DISTANCE, then the accuracy, then the new innovations, build quality etc. I know what I look for in a driver, dependability. Just trying to get to the bottom of whether anyone has had the improvements in distance constantly claimed.

On comparative contacts my Callaway FTiQ gives me a stack more yardage over my old Titleist. Longest club I've ever hit, can't wait for the Summer. If I flush it i get more yardage, if i miss-hit it I get more yardage. £ for £ it's my best investment ever.

If I concentrate on a driver I can hit straight(ish) the distance part will look after itself. Accuracy has always been my problem with the Big Dog. I'm respectable with my Launcher at the moment but I can still miss it BIG!

Yeh. Right!  :D :D :D :D ;) ;)

Yes, the added roll gained by hitting more fairways instead of the thick rough.
