New Clubs - How long to adjust?

Really, I do play x100 soft stepped as that's what I was fit for and feels best for me but I have played project x, s300, r300, kbs and honestly they make no difference, I used to practice alot and hit alot of balls and could basically use any of those shafts and it wouldn't be detrimental in any way to my game, so there goes the 'profile' theory for me. Swingweight and clubhead however do make alot of difference.

And the relationship between swing weight and the weight of a shaft and where that weight is? ..... and I'm leading you here. Please be clear in your beliefs if your going to push them. You say you have used PX and X100 and there is no difference yet PX is a counter balanced shaft with a lot of its weight in the butt and X100 is not. They will promote very different swing weights so is that important to you or not?

Given the fact I hit 400 balls a day for the best part of 5 years and still hit at least 100 a day to this day I know I can basically use any players iron regardless of shaft and it will not have much affect on ball flight or dispersion for me. I do concede that people without my skill set do struggle if you give heavy weighted swingweights or vice versa but i do not believe shaft alone makes that much of a difference as you can swingweight any iron to anything regardless of shaft so you could set them up identically and I believe you would see no difference. People like Mark Crossfield, Steve buzza have proved this, it's really not as important as good technique

Check the videos out, tell me if there is a discernable difference between them. I'm pretty sure Mark wouldn't make countless videos using GC2 HMT if he found any difference

Well it's there in black and white, you have more than one professional the shortest swinging at 105 mph with driver the other around 115. Where is the difference you would expect to see, difference comes frome strike location and impact conditions. I hit alot of balls and personally from my own experience, shaft does not have much impact on ball flight, maybe a few hundred rpm spin but not what people think or would have you believe.

You will find that even after those videos Buzza changes his driver shafts all the time..... why would he do that?

Well he does say because they feel more stable which I suppose is the big thing and if something feels better you would rather use it and I agree that's why I use x1 ss but there is little performance gain to be had

Then if you take that little if any performance gain good players get and try and apply it to a handicap golfer who doesn't hit it in the middle most of the time it then becomes negligible because they aren't presenting club to ball consistently so how would they achieve consistent results with anything?

That you and they can hold onto a few shots using a lady's flex driver it's testament to you and there skill level but do you want to be playing golf holding onto shots?

Never hold onto any shots I swing the same regardless and get similar results, trust me if I knew there was something that would find me one more fairway or one more green in reg I'd buy it but the truth is solid technique is king, you just have to apply that to the shot

We will not disagree about that but no reason if you have the interest and money not to fine tune your good ones.

I'm struggling with my distance's at the minute but that's down to not enough practice, the clubs themselves are great.
