I'm going to be heading to Bearwood Lakes from the end of August time for the foreseeable future.

Went down last night to meet with the GM and play a few holes and was hugely impressed with everything. It's closer to work, so much easier to get to mid-week (although the light is now diminishing!) and the whole set up seems like just a step up from where I am now. Plus there's actual practice facilities so I have even less of an excuse to not get better.

Will be hard leaving Ealing, and tempted to keep membership there too until next year, but fed up with quite a few things there and it's not helped by the two hour drive I can often have to get there after work.

Looking forward to starting over and meeting some new faces, almost feels like the first day of school again!

You do realise that PNWokingham is a member ? Best take a hard hat if he is playing an adjoining fairway.;)

Lovely course/club. I am sure you will be very happy there. Probably my favourite parkland course.

Good luck with the move Jimbob, sure you'll settle in fine. If there's one thing I've learnt from the clubs I've been a member of, it's that if it's too far away you won't get the benefit, so on time alone the change will be good.

Cheers all - looking forward to it and will definitely have to sort out a few games there! Much nicer place to take people too, especially with the nice club house etc.

In terms of penny's, they do a very good deal for intermediate membership up to the age of 28. I'll have to reassess my choices in a couple of years but it is fantastic value for money for somebody who plays as much as I do / intend to.
