Never seen a hole in one!

I saw one about fifteen years ago and it was the worse shot I've ever seen!! Myself and a junior decided to go out for a couple of practice holes. The first at my old club was a fairly tricky 190 yard par three with a large bunker half way up the fairway. Normally, this blocked the green but on this occasion the tee was over to the right which allowed a clear shot into the green. The junior takes his shot and appeared to catch the ball slightly fat but he must have put a huge amount of top spin on the ball as it trundled up the fairway - never appearing to stop. It reaches the green and looks like it's going to be close. I then said "that's going in!!" It rolled up to the hole and dropped!! An appalling shot with the most brilliant outcome!! The annoying thing was that as he was a junior no drink for me!!

Witnessed one years ago but never had one myself. Playing partner was 5" short at weekend and up until just before we reached the green we both thought it had gone in and was resting against the flag.
