Never holed shot over 100 yards but then......

.... Yes it didn't happen today either, 125 yards downhill with my gap wedge and this is how close I got.




There was some old fellas on the next hole giving me abit of a clap and nice few words about the shot I hit, But Ive never holed a shot over 100 yards, Yes Ive chipped in 20 30 40 yards pitch n runs. Closest Ive come today holing something long for a eagle

Front of the green yes then rolled towards the hole which was at the back of the green

It's not part of the cup. It is a separate ring/hoop that fits above the liner. I have seen them at lots of courses over the years.

The ring is deemed part of the liner and should be an inch below the surface. Looking at the photo, a ball that would normally lip out will hit the ring.

Talked to my club already about the cups a few other members not so happy too, Theres been a few complaints so the club knows

We have same rings in ours but after last weekend when they were in for a comp we brought to the attention on Match committee that the holes were not legal and they agreed but low and behold the green keeper on this weekend left them in, well up til the 13 th when they were all left out
