Is that cup in right? Shouldn't there be an inch between the cup and edge of the hole?
New Info about that cup ring, at the time I took the pic at the start of the thread the cup ring was actually put in wrong (upside down), Now they are much better.

But still illegal for comp play if they are up to the top of the hole
Yes perhaps they are but from the photo to the way they are right now, massive difference.
I given up on comp play due to people not quite playing close to there handicaps so for me its friendly games and friendly comps between family friends.
Not sure what you mean - "people not playing close to their handicaps". Are you saying you don't want to play because your partners are having a bad time and posting high scores?
Bandits, I could tell you a long story about this bloke I was playing with in a comp it was ridiculous,
I'm happy playing friendly games with friends and family
Does your club have a big problem then? We have one I can think of that definitely protects his handicap (primarily as he plays with a low handicapper and they clean up in most pairs events - he only plays 3-4 qualifiers per year) but that aside I don't think we have a problem and I certainly wouldn't stop playing comps as a result. Are your comps drawn? Sometimes a guy can have "one of those days" and it may seem he's a bandit but that may be his one good round of the year when it all comes together and you have to take it all into account
