Tim Old Fruit

Thats way too many balls, in one go,

Hit 90, then go do some putting, or chipping, then come back and hit some more if you have to

If I had the choice of hitting 240 rangeballs or playing 9 holes, Id rather get out there, the range is ok, but its not the real deal

Really? I must admit I'm quite the opposite. My view is: why expect to hit it well on the course if you can't hit it well on the range.

It's a good point actually. Do you like to walk away from a problem in the expectation that it will get better naturally (just a bad day), or do you like to work through the problems until they're fixed?

I'm the latter (though accept defeat today).

No Tim walking away isnt the answer, but knowing your bodies physical limitations is, 240 balls and your body will get tired, you will make subconscious adjustments to your swing to make up for this,

Therefore the more you continue past a certain point, you will see little improvement

But then again what do I know, Im a high handicapper, I know jack

Fragger :)

Maybe 240 or 90 balls is enough for small hitters, but I'm a huge hitter.

and therefore you will use more energy and put your body under more stress than us little hitters and you will therefore tire quicker.

Unless of course, you have a cape and wear your underpants on the outside?

The most I've hit in one sitting was three 360 balls, and I must confess that even I, a huge hitter, was getting tired by the last few.

I find, and various other single figure golfers at my club agree, that physical fatigue in golf is one thing but the mental fatigue can be very draining as well.

The last round I played was in the monthly stableford and I was playing very scrappy golf. I had to really concentrate on the back nine - possibly more than I've ever done before and when I got back in the clubhouse I was very tired. Not physically - but mentally.

Maybe thry're getting tired :(

maybe they are tired of listening to all this long hitting nonsense. Either that or they're worn out from hitting so many balls on the range.

Maybe you hit them so hard you have broken them !! :D
