I know that every man and his dog has kept a blog on something or other, but my aim is to put up a few posts about my history so far and then try to chart my progress as I look towards refinding form and pushing my handicap lower once again next year.

My aim, assuming I don't get bored, is to discuss everything that I'm currently thinking about golf in terms of my own game, what I'm working on, discuss equipment I use, courses I play and anything else that springs to mind.

Not expecting many of you to read but I thought I'd share it in the hope some of you do similar and we can keep a track on each other. I've put up one post already, just a gentle intro to myself as a golfer.

Hope you take the time to have a quick read.

I too will follow with interest!

I am similar in as far as i have started golf at an older age (coming up 25 and only started a couple of months back)

Only difference being is i havent got a h'cap, nor a membership.

But i am from the same neck of the woods. Played stressholme a few times, but play at hall garth weekly (i guess similar to ingleby barwick - 9 holes, differing tees to make up 18 holes)

Stressholme is likely to be my home from next year. I played regularly with Bozza from this site who is a member there.

I've played Hall Garth a few times; not my favourite course but excellent value for money.

I will be following with interest.
I also have just started playing, though i must have taken up the game of golf at an ancient age (I,m 46) and started in feb 2012. I also don't have a handicap but have an associate membership to lakeside-lodge golf club pidley Huntingdon cambs. I have been friendly rounds with friends and been on the driving range.

I did a quick google and know from recommendations that WordPress is a good combination of functionality and looks. If I stick with it, I'll definitely tweak it to look much better.

Funnily enough I started making a golf blog yesterday, more for my own interest so I can log what I'm working on over winter and how I'm getting on etc, will be interesting to see what I though after a round etc. and I'm doing it in Wordpress too! Doing it on the iPad at the mo though so it takes longer lol
