Hi All,
Just a quick post to say what a fantastic weekends golf I had I had with my first summer champs. There was a real feel of occasion as I stood on the tee and the starter announced my name as if I were Tiger Woods. My aim though more a dream this year was so make the cut for day two. I played out of my mind for 16 holes but rather spoiled an otherwise perfect performance with two bad holes, however I still made the cut and I drove home that afternoon with a beaming smile!! I really was please and very proud of myself.
It was great fun to watch Neal20 come off the last and yabber at one another about how we did and then call Fundy for the same thing. Neal16 is what he should be called now really... well done brother!
Day two was the same story for me but it really did not matter. I again played out of my mind with runs of pars and bogies sadly an 8 and a 9(chipped into the same pond twice) meant that I was not a front runner but on both days I had wonderful playing partners with great attitudes. I played some great shots and was very happy with 32 of the 36 holes I played.
Thank you very much AVGC you did a great job and I am already looking forward to next year.
