Pace is what I'm most worried about. I'm off at 9am and 2pm so if it's slow I'll only get a half hour break. In terms of the tiredness thing unfortunately I have MS and shave struggled playing 27 in a day before but we'll see what happens. Trolley is all ready to go![]()
Anyone would think its an expedition up mount Everest!! Last summer me and a mate took a week off work and played 36 holes straight every day! If it's warm then obviously you need fluids with you and as long as you can grab a quick bite between rounds it really isn't a big deal at all. Anyway good luck with the comp.
I was actually referring to the responses from others who need to change their socks after 18 holes or go for a shower etc. My apologies to Tiger however if he thought I was making light of his MS.Maybe you will rethink your response after rereading the above from Tiger
Unfortunately it all went horribly wrong today. Weather was horrible, wet and windy. Our tee time was delayed by 20 mins and things didn't start well. Blocked tee shot right then snap hooked my provisional. First was lost, from provisional in the thick of the trees. Chip, hit tree. Chip, hit tree, chip HIT TREE!!! Chip, two putt 9
Decent tee shot on 2 but followed by snap hook lost, snap hook lost, finally down for 10. Took all your advice and settled myself down bogey, bogey, double, par. But by this stage the play was slowing down and one of my playing partners started to have a mare and it all went downhill. Stop start in crap weather and I was starting to feel mentally drained.
The constant interruptions and delays meant I was playing crap off the tee and fighting to get something back. There was some good golf in there mainly my putting, chipping and pitching which were all really solid. But I couldn't get into a rhythm. That first 18 took nearly SIX hours and I was feeling total ***** at the end, so I bowed out at the half stage.
So feeling pretty fed up, miserable and sorry for myself![]()
?? are your club champ qualies not played off scratch??
I think the average 3-ball time was 5hours.
