So as some of you know from my most recent thread, I'm 15 and deep into golf.
I usually go down to my club after school and play a few holes.
The strong winds Forced me to hit low shots on nearly all the holes! But , it paid off.
Was on the 2nd hole, which is a difficult par 4 with an elevated green.
Hit a nice punch drive which left me with about 120 yards to the green. Hit a great 8 iron, which went low and had a slight fade. As the green was elavated, I had no idea it was in ! So when I strolled up there, the ball was no where to be seen. I went to the rough, and still couldn't find it, which lead me go believe it had been the victim of a bad bounce. I finally dropped a ball on the green, and two-putted. I sulked up to the hole, and found two balls in there! I checked that it was mine, and when I was 100 percent it was mine, I chucked it up in the air and wooped for about 5 minutes ! Obviously there was no one else there otherwise I would have casually walked off.
Still, a great day and hopefully I can do it again this Saturday !
Thanks for reading, share your first eagles on this thread if you want to.

Yes well done. Had my first one when I was about your age, but can't remember much about it as it was a long time ago.:(

Swinger has had two albatross's (?) this year, but he's just a show off.:)

I got my first eagle last week after missing plenty of other chances.

280 yard par four up a big hill. Hit a good drive to 10 feet short of the green, pin at the front, two bounces and rolled in.

What made it better was a guy in the group behind hit a carbon copy drive, but only made par.

Well played!!

Got my first and only eagle about a year ago. Was playing on a 9 hole course so played it twice. The first time I was having a 9 hole lesson and put my drive onto the green. Even though it's a short par 4 the pro said he only makes that probably 1 or 2 times out of 10. I missed the putt but walked away happy with a birdie.

So onto the back 9 and I'm on the tee again, hit the drive better than before and finished about 4ft from the pin. Bit of a knee knocker but sunk it for the eagle. I couldn't have been happier.

Haven't played there since and only had a handful of eagle opportunities since, none of which I have converted.

Well played mate :)

No eagles for me, but I did hit my first par 5 in two a few weeks ago.

Fair enough it was only 480 yards and the wind was howling from behind but I still had to hit two nice shots to get there :)

3 putted for a par, feckin eejit.

Well done, I think I've only ever had 3 in my life and despite hitting our par 15th in 2 the last 4 times out I'm yet to sink the crucial putt so haven't had any this year.

I played a round with a guy last month who played off 17. He had his first Eagle ever and it was rather amusing! It was at St Austell GC on the Par 4 17th, it was about 300 yards with a cross wind. He hit a good drive down the right hand side leaving him about 90 yards in. He hits his shot, picks his bag up and starts walking towards the green, I'm stood by the green and this greens slopes away from the hole so if it's pas the hole it's not going to stop. His ball picthes the green and is coming at the pin at some pace. I look up and it looks like it has a chance, mean while this guy is strolling up non the wiser. The ball smacks the bottom of the pin and drops in! I'm stood there going 'OMG, it's gone in' and this guy has no idea, I'm telling him, it's gone in for a 2. So that was a Gross 2 for Nett 1 for 5 Points........I then proceeded to miss my eagle putt from 12 foot and make a decent birdie which was out shone by the guys Eagle!

It's a great feeling isn't it?! Mine was at John O'Gaunt on a par 5. Good drive, good second to 12 feet from the pin. Drilled the putt. There was money on it so it was very sweet. And they had 'Eagle' on draft in the bar, so I had to indulge in a pint to celebrate!
