Ok..... on a scale of 1 to 10 I'm guessing this is about a 12 for sadness but ,having moved home about 5 months ago, I finally got round to sorting out my wee collection of logo'd ball markers today.

They'll be going up in the smallest room in the house as a wee reminder of many happy days on some of the wonderful courses I've played over the years.

See if you can recognise some of them.

I have one problem. There's one I don't recognise. The black one on the top row, shown here. If anyone can enlighten me I'd be grateful. Probably a Scottish course and obviously founded in 1832. So where is it?

And yes, before you say it, I DO have too much time on my hands.

Nice collection, thanks for letting us see it. I wish I had done this but until champs this year I have never had a ball marker that even caught my eye for anything more than just marking the ball.

I would like a Bearwood, Ashridge and Grove one really as they are the nicest courses I have played.

Well done, Iain & Mike. North Berwick, it is. Probably my favourite course in this area. A truly great one.

It always struck me that many of these marker were highly impractical, some being so bulbous that your ball would veer off at 90 degrees if you hit it. But I guess they're just for show rather than real use. I've lost many of my favourites over the years from using them on the course.

Ooh, my least favourite would be the big pink "K" one. Kinross GC not the K Club unfortunately.

How dare you put the best course in the North East next to it's poorer goat track rivals John! ;)

I love the Machrahanish badge......my mate still goes on about the marker he purchased there a year and a half ago....he loved his prized possession that he had bought for £4 until I told him I had just purchased the same type markers off the supplier for the Hirsel for under 60p a marker! :D

Shame you could get a large map mounted on wood and place each marker where it should be. That's what I plan to do if I get a big enough collection. So far I have 5
