My best round yet!!

played Stapleford Abbots Priors course today.. second time i've played it (first time i hit a 97) and shot a 84!!
well chuffed with that.... rememeber i've only been playing golf now for about 2months

my week in the Algarve has worked wonders.

i had to tell somebody as my mate pulled out just before we were due to tee off so i went round on my own.

Well done. As you were on your own was it a genuine 84 holing everything and taking penalties etc. Only kidding!!! I think I had 84 on the back nine alone today

84 after 2 months is a great score, it took me about a year to shoot that. Well done. Had you played the game before and come back for 2 months? If you literally picked up a club for the first time 2 months a go you are doing very well as far as I'm concerned.

other than the odd round of pitch and putt when i was 17 (about 12 years) ago totally new to the great game.
intensive lessons, plus regular trips to the range, has helped a great deal - knowing what you've done wrong after a poor shot makes the difference.
plus my trip to portugal where i played 4 rounds in 4 days - confidence is the key i guess.
