Murrayshall Golf Courses, Scone, Perth

Evening all.

Just wondered if anyone on here has played the above? Got my copy of 'Bunkered' magazine through the post today and on the inside back cover Murrayshall are advertising a Country Membership for only £199 a year for both courses!! No joining fee, unlimited golf 7 days a week, 50% off green fees for guests, no limit on number of guests per year and the only stipulation is that you must live 50 miles or more from the course!

Well, I got straight onto AA Routefinder and it turns out that I live 53.6 miles away!

Giving very serious thought to joining up at that price and was interested to hear opinions from anyone who has played the courses.

Only thing that stops me joining here is that everyone I speak to says the course is run more for hotel guests than members.

The Murryshall is a nice track with some great views and holes, Lynedoch is again visually nice but is on the side of the hill and I personally don't rate it.

In saying that the country membership is a fantastic deal considering it is over £1000 to join if your local, very surprised they still have a joining fee as they don't have a waiting list.

Nice enough course a bit hilly tho, as Toad said run for the hotel more than visitors .Some holes have huge trees in the middle of the fairways a bit annoying that but a nice enough course
