Sir David Amess was democratically elected by his constituency on a number of occasions it would suggest that they knew him differently to Kellfire's opinion, which suggests to me that P N Wokingham and Dando (and others) have rather summed up the situation pretty succinctly

I would say that it was at the least (the ban) against the political posting rules, but on top of that the posts (not just one) were both inflammatory and disrespectful.
