Moveable Obstructions

Was talking to a guy who said moveable obstructions can be moved wherever they are on the course, ie line of site, and if you hit them that is tough.

I am not talking about if for eg there is a telegrapgh pilon or a local rule.

Is he correct please?

Basically I think he's correct provided the MO is outside a hazard and in bounds

Reminds me of the Tiger Woods incident where he had some members of the gallery move a massive boulder that was blocking him from going for the green in two!

I think he is right you are allowed to, not sure though tbh.

Yes. Especially marker posts in the middle of the fairway

I'm pretty sure you can move a moveable obstruction anywhere on the course even if it's in a hazard (e.g a rake in a bunker) or OB. However, there's no relief from immovable obstructions in a hazard or OB.
