If you value your back either carry with a double strap bag, use a push trolley if you must, or get a power trolley. Avoid pull trolleys.
I had a bad back a few years back, thought - right time to get a trolley - bad move.

No doubt a trolley is worse than carrying, and once I realised that and moved to a double strapper it was just beyond comparison.

Birdieman is of course correct in the best thing for your golf is power, but as golf is also my exercise and main calorie burner, I won;t be giving up the bag anytime soon.

A bit dramatic there I think. If you got your injury from a carry bag with one strap(which I assume you did), or from a golf playing injury, going strait to a pull trolley isnt going to do you any good if you havent healed properly. If you believe that your body is under less pressure carrying 30kg or more around with you and playing you are mistaken. Your action compresses the spine and muscles that you use to play but not the ones you use to carry, when you put the bag down the body changes its state, then you go and use other muscles to whack a golf ball using motions that are not the best for the body unless practiced well and used sparingly, you do this for perhaps 4 hrs probably with no warm up, its not good for you.

I have had back injury playing golf and used to carry always until about 12 yrs ago, I use a cheap pull trolley, Im not as fit as I was and how many back injuries from golf have I had in 12 yrs?....Zero.I can put this down to warm ups and being a better player and understanding what is not good for the back, if it was the pull trolley that caused back injury I would know it after 12 yrs.

Injury can occur in anything you do, if you do it WRONG!
Most golf injuries have nothing to do with pull or push trolleys, often the injury is there already or occurs during play but manifests itself when you reach for the bag, the trolley or even the remote for your motor caddy. most back injury occurs before you even realise its happened and the cause is often wrongly identified. you do not have to twist the spine to pull one, thats the mistake people make, perhaps its mistakes like that that get them introuble :D. :D

A recent survey in the States discovered that over 9 holes you burn up 3 more calories carrying your bag than using a trolley!!
