Morning all,

A few more details on the i15 and G15 ranges...

The i15 irons are more forgiving especially in the longer clubs than the previous i10 model. The topline is perhaps a fraction thicker which creates a clear difference between the i15 and the S57 (tour musclebacks). All the woods are new for '09. For me, the hybrid performs better than any of the other hybrids in PING's range - probably because there isn't too much offset.

The G15 range represents an evolution from the previous G10 version. Bigger sweetspots throughout. The shapes themselves do not represent a vast difference from the previous model apart from in the hybrid. Interestingly the hybrid is a bit like a driving iron with plenty of offset. I saw a few of the PING pros trying this up at Turnberry and I suspect it will become a club that is used by pros, low and high handicappers alike.

Remember that anyone interested in getting fitted won't necessarily walk away with a whole set of i15s or a whole set of G15s. You may wish to mix the ranges. The shafts that we tested were the AWT stock option that PING offer. A very solid performer.

They are offering a TFC 700 F which is designed by PING and should suit players with faster swing speeds and also a UST Mamiya AXIVcore Tour Red which should offer a lower launch.
