As for the question posed, should Monty be replaced?

I think not. His actions may not be the best but unless it was something that directly impacted on the team i.e. sleeping with a players wife or the likes then he should be left to carry on.

The players who play will not really care if Monty has had a fling here, there or anywhere unless Monty starts getting personal against them with his comments i.e. "needs to show more spirit", etc Then players may think who is he to judge. The players will be there to play golf and will of course say nice things about their Captain.
