i think that monty has always had the best chances in every british open how long are we going to have to wait till he wins i feel for the big man so much he doesnt lack the talent and the way hes playing just now is the way he was playing 8 years ago fingers crossed it will be a victory for him this year

I love Monty and i am proud of it - so i agree with all the congrats but come on guys can you honestly say you think he can handle the pressure of a Major and has any chance at Carnoustie? He has never beeen the best links player for a start anyway!!

Hi True blue,

I think Casey / Donald have a better chance but he can't be that bad a links player.....don't forget he came 2nd to Tiger (the greatest player of our generation)at St Andrews and holds the course record at Carnoustie...so you never know. I just hope a European wins it !

Also delighted at Monty's win, but let's not get carried away that this means the start of a new career. It might or it might not, but at least he's not looking down the barrel of another disappointment.
