Mizuno

I have hit one divot, the one without the weight adjustment.

It was 10.5 stiff, great sound, good distance, not top of the list for foriveness.

Build quality was excellent.

Surprises me that Mizuno woods aren't more commonly used, there irons are hugely popular and justifiably so.

If you are thinking of buying one I would say give it a try without doubt divot.

i was at the range yesterday and a guy was giving his new mizuno's a work out .god they go high. think the air investigators at heathrow may find one of his balls stuck in the engine!

I'm a Mizuno fan but how often do the drivers get up the list of well loved kit? never....???

Doesn't make sense to me......

Just bought the MP600, had a fitting session and eventually came up with a shaft and loft to suite my swing. Once that was worked out it was amazing. Spending the time to get the right combintion was worth it, first session on the range was great. Hopefully taking it onto the course this weekend.

The head sits nicely behind the ball, doesn't look too big and it isn't too noisy compared to the MX version. Well worth a look if you're in the market for a new one.

I asked Brendy for his thoughts as he is trialing one at present and he had good first impressions as well. Maybe not the longest, but I found it acurate and long enough for my needs!

Hey up, I do indeed have a mp600 9.5deg with stiff fujikura shaft, I only thought my Srixon was a nice feeling club until I got my mitts on the Mizuno, It ticks all the right boxes. Feel, shaft, noise and most importantly to me, uniformity, I can hit the same shot over and over with it where the srixon sometimes is a little less forgiving.
What struck me most about the club was the full face grooves, most drivers these days are obsessed with distance and in seeking this they are losing grooves in favour of flat faces which as far as I understand helps get the greatest allowable 'trampolining'with less spin effect. The mizuno doest bother and to be honest if the face was taped up I couldnt tell the difference between this and any other distance driver. I was/am over the moon with how it is performing since receiving it. I have the confidence to step up to those daunting par 4 doglegs and just go clean over the corner where before it was a bit of a prospect and the knees didnt shake but there was certainly small trembles.
Make no mistake, this club isnt a game improvement driver in the true meaning of the term, the adjustable weights arnt there to straighten your slice/hook, they are designed for the already capable golfer who wants to add a few more options to their game.
I think that if I have to give the driver back at the end of the review time, I will certainly consider this driver before I even bother with the run of the mill gimmicky drivers doing the rounds at the moment.

Have never rated Mizuno woods. Not sure why just a persoanl preference. They make quality gear at a good price but although I have used their irons before there is something visual when I look at a Mizuno wood that doesn't sit right - or is it just me??

I love my MX-500. Even if at times it appears to have the directional focus of a hormonal woman with empty credit cards in Harvey Nicholls.

Mine's a 9.5deg stiff shaft (exsar2) and depending on what I do with the tee or my swing, I can have it climbing high or daisy-cutting into the wind. Looks good at address and does the job. I personally get on with them really well, but I am also a club whore so would go with anything that I hit well.
