“Hands-down…best wedge we have tested in 2011. The scores for the Mizuno MP T-11 wedges were off the charts! How these wedges did not get a gold in Golf Digest’s Hot List is beyond me.†(GolfSpy X)
Forged from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel, Mizuno's MP T-11 provides a pure, soft club-head that holds the ball a fraction longer on full pitches. On shorter pitch shots where the ball does not fully compress, CNC milled score-lines between the grooves ensure maximum traction.
A wider, shallower version of Mizuno's QUAD CUT groove is used on 56-64 degree models to assist traction on the shorter, partial strikes - where the ball cannot fully compress. Over 50-54 degrees, QUAD CUT uses a narrower, deeper configuration, suitable for fuller, squarer strikes.
Spin rates are accompanied by the shot making prowess of a compact teardrop shape. The thicker topline is bevelled down by a 360 grind, which also keeps the lead edge tight to the ground on a variety of shots.
