After a nearly 12 month battle trying to tame the white beast known as the R11, I put the Mizuno in the bag a little over a month ago trying to get some consistency back into my driving. It’s now had a few rounds in the bag and I can happily report that my driving is well on the road to recovery. I already had the Hybrid and 3 Wood in the bag so the stiff Exsar shaft felt like an old friend. It inspires confidence at address, as the stunning dark blue 460cc head is great to look down on and it’s an absolute joy to hit with a reassuring, but not obnoxious, sound off the face with a penetrating flight.

The improvement in my driving accuracy is quite astonishing; I've gone from missing over 75% of fairways (nearly always to the right with a destructive slice) to hitting close to 75% either on the short stuff or just trickling into the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] cut. I now find myself wasting approach shots into greens after drives that are putting me in great position! Mizuno have really struck gold with this driver and I would recommend it to anyone who is having problems off the tee.
