Due to the fact that im getting sick of having to walk round all the 'white lines' with my trolley, ive decided to purchase a carry bag for use during the winnter - I figure I will probably walk about 1/2 mile less each round!

Anyway has anyone got the Aerolite III bag, and if so can you share your thoughts please. Is it light enough? Enough pocket space? Waterproof? etc

Cheers

word from the retail sector is that due to the rise in the cost of raw materials then golf bags are likely to increase in cost significantly on 2011 and a number of retailers are buying as much stock as they can hold currently.

so would suggest getting a new one soonee rather than layter!

I have one:

Pros:
-Cheap
-good dividers
-VERY light
-Good amount of pockets

Cons:
-Stand doesn't extend as far as it should. After 2 or 3 holes, you get used to it and it's fine though
-It's not waterproof, but what can you expect for £50. It will keep your stuff dry in a "light" shower though.

If you can find one for a good price, I'd say definitely pull the trigger. They are extremely light and I can go 36 holes and not feel completely exhausted.

Aztec I seem to recall you mentioning having one at the same time you were blabbering on about your mp57's :p.

Cheers for the review, Snainton Golf (that supply our Pro shop) are doing them for £59.99 so have bit the bullet and ordered one. Im putting my hardly used White Ice #9 on ebay to fund it :D

In terms of it not being waterproof, it will match my Mizzy Tour cart bag that is still drying our from the weekend!

Hi johnboy,

Just noticed your sig, i'm a member of Billog too!!

The white lines are a proper pain in the ass at the moment, especially around the 18th....still, its for the good of the course I suppose!

If you're not in a rush to get rid of the #9 White Ice, I might be interested. I've asked for one for Christmas, but it's always pot luck as to whether I'll actually get what I asked for! :D

If I don't get it, I'd take yours off your hands for the right price.

Obviously if you need the cash, don't fret.

Did I mention I bought some MP57's off eBay for a really good price? :D

They certainly are a pain arnt they Keef!! With all the extra walking that I had to do on Saturday with a trolley, and then Wheel-spins in all the mud round the 6th n 14th tees I thought it best that I carry for the next couple of months. Just hope that I can still make it up the 18th with a bag on my back! :D

The mud at the side of the 18th tee is horrendous, so much so I nearly went on my arse there on Saturday morning lol

There was a 4 ball behind us on Sat morn that pushed their trolleys up to the side of every single green totally ignoring every white line....tossers!

Aztec, for Xmas ive asked Santa to run away with our lass and not bring her back, but somehow I dont think ill be getting what I want :D

I kind of need the money to fund the bag mate, so is going on ebay tonight. It's a nice putter, just bit too heavy for me.

I think you might of mentioned it the once, maybe you should do a full write up of them on here, im sure everyone would love to hear all about them ;)
