Messages not working

I can't enter any text in the box.

Mine's been like that for about a week, I can read the message but cannot type in the reply box, it's just a white space, even "going advanced" doesn't help.

Thought it was just my old laptop.

I'm the same if I use IE8 but if I switch to Google Chrome it's fine.
