Are you allowed to place a ball on a tee peg for a playing partner in a medal who is struggling with a sore back and is finding it difficult to bend down
When you say 'playing partner' do you mean Partner as in the Definition (ie as in a Fourball/Foursome) or what used to be called Fellow Competitor (ie is simply playing as a single in the same group)? Are you allowed to place a ball on a tee peg for a playing partner in a medal who is struggling with a sore back and is finding it difficult to bend down
The distinction above was what I was trying to elicit.Does it matter for the Rules wrt the question?
Really no distinction needed for that first question? The distinction above was what I was trying to elicit.
Surely 22.2 and 23.5 had to be considered.Really no distinction needed for that first question?
What difference would that make?As an aside, it would be useful for future indexing and reference purposes if a more descriptive title had been chosen for this thread. For example: "Placing the ball on a tee for another player"

In six months time when a similar question comes up, some people will inevitably want to refer back to similar previous discussions. (It happens.) A heading like "Medal play ruling" isn't going to facilitate an easy search. What difference would that make?
As you have the option of searching in the title only or in the text of the thread, I don't understand the need of having the subject in the title and in the first post.In six months time when a similar question comes up, some people will inevitably want to refer back to similar previous discussions.
