Yessssssssssssss! Can't wait for it to actually start.
I have spent the last couple of weeks devouring GM (web and mag), this forum and the rest of the web for anything and everything to try to satisfy my insatiable craving for Masters-related tales, facts and insights. Doesn't matter if it's to do with the Big Cat, bygone heroes or the new kids on the block. I even found a story about a waiter in a bar that trebbles his annual tips in the 4-day extravaganza!
I was lucky to catch the Par-3 comp on the red button last night - had to go in through the Multiscreen index, though it was not advertised on the main menu. That just made me salivate even more! I am far too excited for a man of my age and should really know better.
I plan to live a semi-nocturnal existence for the Easter weekend. I don't want to miss a second and will watch the drama unfold from the comfort of my oversized 3 seater sofa whilst taking a leaf (or glass?) out of Bill Elliot's book and sinking a bottle or two of the red stuff...which, I am sure, will just make the course dazzle and the players gleam all the more!
I am off to the bookies shortly to have a fiver each way on Ogilvy, Singh, Casey and Paddy. Might have another bluey on Tiger just in case! Then it's home to muck about with the 2 yr old daughter and ensure she and her pregnant mum are nicely tucked up in bed by 9:30....then it's my time! BRING IT ON!
As an aside, well done to GM. The Augusta mini-site is ace and knocks the spots of the very disappointing BBC version, which leaves me feeling they got the gig to televise it, but can't be bothered with the web. Shame. As for the GM stuff, I have really enjoyed Alex's posts and the blog. Wish I was there...
