Masters-General chit chat

I'm still hoping my two pickes Stenson and Westwood can have a good moving day. I thought Garcia actually looked good on the greens especially the last few holes, with the belly putter. I thought Harrington was unlucky with the penalty call but then looked tired coming in. I hope Campbell and Perry come back a bit and make it an interesting event rather than a two horse (donkey)race.

I would like to see the past masters champions playing a 9 hole a day competition from forward tees just to entertain the galleries and give us TV viewers a chance to observe these great players.

The current course is too long and difficult for Player,Nicklaus, Floyd etc.

I think Furyk is looking an increasingly good bet for tomorrow, Tiger didnt get off to the start or round I hoped for and he has left a big hill to climb, though he has beaten others comming from a lot of shots behind before so I wont write him off just yet, but pencil him in for a write off. But the DUCK may surprise us all yet! :D

Its about time Furyk won something. Especially as I'm sick of watching Perry's ugly swing. Furyks maybe plain wrong but it just flows so beautifully. Never get tired of watching Furyk.

Anyone see Katyama...? Is he playing golf or taking part in some sort of sureal Spagetti Western...? Wonder if anyone from MGM want him to be in the Next Western with Clint Eastwood? Could be quite something.

Sergio seems to have started to come good again.

Cabrera looks as if he's in contention from his performances, as he prowels & lolops around the course. He even managed a Sergio like dash at one point.

What are the tohughts for the final day?

Can anyone make a charge?

Kenny has been consistant tody Chad is looking a bit shakey, Cabrera and fyrik are also looking good.

Maybe Poulter can hit another 68 that will put him in the mix?

For the love of god (and golf) I hope Perry & Chud choke big style. I wouldnt mind Angel winning it, at least he has some charisma about him and, as he's already a major winner would be worthy of it.

I see your Ben Curtis....and raise you a Todd Hamilton :p

Can I trump with Paul Lawrie.....

Good shout.....very good shout, however, in my hand I have a Shaun Micheel

I discarded Micheel when laying Lawrie but have now picked up Rich Beem....

I've just gave the remaining cards a shuffle and picked out an absolute peach....i present you with Mr Michael Campbell.

Excellent shout with Rich Beem though :D

I have a horrible feeling that Perry is gonna hang around - finishing say at -9. Which means anyone at -4 is gonna have to make a huge move. Possible, but....

Which means that Cabrera or Furyk ftw. Or Perry of course.

Can I be bovvered to watch that to it's thrilling finale ?

Yawn

( God I hope I'm wrong. The thought of Perry winning a green jacket is just bad - sooo bad )

Mmmm - Cambo....I shall have to ask the audience as to the legitimacy of that card......

I found a very dusty card in the deck though - Steve Elkington....

What has he done since his major win? Nada....thats what.

I had Elkington in my hand earlier but got rid of him, seeing as he had a runner up spot the same year and won a few events on the PGA Tour.

Anyway, getting harder to produce decent cards now, and of the ones left, last years Masters winner Mr Immelman is worth showing....

Sorry to butt in guys, can I show you, Mark O'meara?

Golfmmad.

I fancy Campbell and Perry to start solidly but have a wobble around the turn and into Amen Corner. It all depends if El Gato and Furyk are still on their coat-tails to capitalise. I think of the rest Westwood is hitting solidly and just made two bad errors so a 67 or so might see him in the hunt but ultimately a shot or two shy.

I predict a play-off between Perry, Furyk and Cabrera with Furyk winning
