Masters-General chit chat

Well, after 3 decent rounds and some good golf played by a few players, didnt the 4th round come alight????

Tiger & Phil played some of the best golf of the tournament, just a shame it was too little, too late!! Phil's front 9 was unbelievable (from what we saw anyway), its a shame he let the eagle chance go on 15 and the birdie on 17, after Tiger i'd have liked to see Phil win it most. I used to hate him, but the more i watch him the more i find myself really liking the guy.

Anyway, i'm more than pleased that Cabrera won it over Perry & Chudster, how Chudster let them both in on the 1st playoff hole is unreal and i bet he kicks himself over that for a long time to come!!

Rory's back 9 was amazing too and i'm really glad he finished under par for the tournament, Justin Rose's 2 eagles were cracking too, glad he finished under par.

Altogether though a very poor showing from the Europeans, i fully hoped that one of them would win if it wasnt Tiger, still....the US Open is just around the corner :D

Congrats to Cabrera, he made the putts on 18 & 19 to ensure he stayed in the race.
After 16 felt Perry had it won but his finish of bogey, bogey was not the paly of a masters champion. Remember in the PGA he lost to Mark Brooks he spend about 40 mins in the commentary booth instead of preparing for the play off.

One good thing about this years masters was the fact the eagles, birdies, bogies and worse where back at Augusta and made for rivetting viewing especially the charges by Phil and Tiger. It was great to see players going for eagles on the par 5's instead of laying up like the last few years when protecting a score was the most important aspect of the tournament.
Congrats to the committee for getting it rigth this year. I suppose the good weather was a help.
