Any one just see Fuzzy's shot on the par 3, pitch mark inches from the cup, best shot I seen up to now!

On another note, I notice Furyk climbing the ladder, I have a couple of quid on him, Prob just jinxed it though. cant wait for the coverage tonight, amen corner getting a little repetative, then again, atleast its not all Tiger.

I agree even though I am a Tiger fan, he just gets too much coverage I think? cant wait for coverage to start myself :D

Angel Cabrerra is stringing a very good round together. Currently -6, I must admit I would have dismissed his chances prior to the start of the tournament. He has never truly regained his form since his US Open win as far as I am aware, but is certainly on a good streak at the moment.

I'm NOT happy about Anthony Kim....yesterday he was reckless and got away with it, today he's on fire.....the golfing gods are smiling on him.....I hope it stops pretty darn soon, I don't like his style.....he's OK (opposite of Sergio, I like his style, but don't like him).

As for the Chud-ster, pwleese.....take him away.....

Dave, so annoyed at Kim, Grrrr!

How is Fuzzy on the score he is? every shot I have seen has peppered the flag, some remarkable approaches left for tap ins!

Just heard a suggestion about the older players (Fuzzy, Gary Player etc) still coming along each year and playing the back 9, out of the way of the field but still entertaining the crowds.

What do people think about this. I know some people think they are a waste of a good space, but surely, a past master should always be allowed to return and play, this is a good idea IMO.

Just noticed Furyk hit all 18 greens yesterday, sublime.

Leftie almost just had himself an albertross. :D

I think giving the past champions the chance to entertain the crowds on the back nine would give them their moment in the sun which their success deserves and the public a chance to see their heroes live. I'm all for it

I am thrilled with it all so far, there are more in with a shout in my view than previous yrs but tomorrow will sort the men from the boys as it so often does in the third round. We will probably see a few scores thrown away tomorrow, Im hoping Tiger comes out of the blocks firing on all cyliders!

It's been good viewing so far. Good to see Sandy Lyle comfortably making the cut. Hope he can string together a couple of decent days and put in a good showing overall. A good strong leaderboard, it's going to be a good weekends golf I think.

Turned off at about 1145 last night and yet to check the standings. Hope my bets made the cut.

Hate the fact I am working all weekend. Watching it makes me want to play, and I can't till Monday grrrr.

How long as sergio been playing with a belly putter for. I know he's crud with the flat stick but never noticed a belly shaft before, is that new?

It has to be said Sergio is looking good after his shocking 1st round, -4 after round two and looking very composed on the greens now he's gone back to the belly putter.

I really hope Chad Campbell has a shocker of a start today, as much as he's a professional golfer he's no major winner and, as much as it did when Zach Johnson won it, the masters this year will be de-valued in my eyes.

Tiger is still very much in the hunt as is anyone who is under par at this stage....anything & everything can & will happen on Saturday & Sunday, especially when the tee positions get a little tastier!!!

Edit - Tony, he only went back to it yesterday, he used his normal putter on his 1st round.

Cheers keef. Didn't see anything of sergio untill late last night. Interested to know though why you think this years masters would be de-valued?

I'm of the opinion that all of the majors should be won by one of the "big boys". Your Tiger's, Mickleson's, Garcia's etc etc When Zach Johnson won The Masters in 2007 and then Immelman last year, i had an overwhelming sense of let down that a rank outside had taken the prize.

Maybe its just me....

Ah I see, fairpoint.

I thought you were goin down the 'asterix next to his name route' because Tiger and leftie et al are not playing so well.

I kinda disagree though,(not with your opinion, that would be stupid) as in the case of Campbell and Perry, if they can out play the best of the best, on one of the toughest courses in the world over 4 days, they are just as special as the rest of the big names. I guess its just a little dissapointing when they drop off the pace for a few years afterwards. No real 'Master' would do that, right?

I get where you coming from though!

Its not just you.
Ben Curtiss wasn't exactly the pick of the paddock either
:D :D :D :D

I see your Ben Curtis....and raise you a Todd Hamilton :p

What was it he said?
He was destined to win a Major and had finally "arrived".
Arrived my arse.

:) :)

I scoreboarded at Lytham a few years back when David Duval won the Open.....I went to the pub as he was walking down the 18th.....

As I've said on another thread, I'm finding the masters to be a bit of a let down so far. I think I've enjoyed some of the European Tour events more. None of the people I normally support (mainly Brits) are in the running, so I've decided to get behind Garcia instead. I just need Campbell and Perry to have a shocker!
