Surely if you like your golf,and get the chance to be amongst it, it has to be worth it.

I suggest you speak to TXL who Marshall's regularly I think around several venues. He's a member at your place isn't he (Anthony) and a really nice helpful guy ( but don't tell him I said that)

do you have to pay to volunteer like at the Ryder Cup

We get a chance to do it at our club and we've a few that do it every year. I've been tempted, but standing in a car park when the action is going on a few hundred yards away has always put me off

Yep TXL marshals at the BMW and is a very nice helpful guy

Not sure his FC thought the same at Blackmoor

That will be the car park attendants as opposed to the on course marshals :mmm:

If you volunteer with your club, you will be working on the hole(s) assigned to your club, you will not be in any car park.
