Warrington was quite dry and only had two temps on when it was a deluge a month ago, wherever you go, I'd ring ahead first.:thup:

Walmersley was closed today so ended up playing pike fold in bury. Greens were fantastic but fairways very wet. Very hard finding plugged balls I'm fairways!

Shame about Walmersley. Pike fold not great when wet! saying that we've had that much rain I guess most places would be the same

Im surprised that of all the courses to be open after all this rain it would be Pike Fold!! Even more so that Walmersley was shut!!
Pike Fold does have great greens. Played there quite a bit and think it's a decent course

Stand closed today. A wise move. The fairways were great on Tuesday considering but the frost, coined with the rain this week would have screwed the greens up. I'm happy that my gaff is putting protective measures in place, despite it being one of the best draining courses around.
