To play these pups!!

Tbh, I don't know when Mizuno got their 'good looking irons' reputation from. But I'm guessing that it wasn't from the early - mid '80s efforts here.

Back in the 80s, when those were around, some players liked that squared off look. Some of the others look (slightly) more friendly. Also, that is a 2 iron, and there aren't many of those of any make that look easy to hit.

I would have no worries gaming that stick. I only ever use the toe, the bottom edge and the hozel, and if a club has those, I can play with it.

I actually had the MS originals 2-sw very similar, I think the toe was slightly squarer, Beautiful irons though take a picture of them with a ball to show the size, they are only slightly bigger than the ball.

This is why I think anyone can hit a modern blade

It would be quite interesting to see how today's pros got on with these. I know GMac did something similar but perhaps a tournament (one round) for charity using 80's clubs whilst wearing 80's clothing.

I think I've just given myself an idea there....

JustOne - could they use your wardrobe as inspiration?? :)

I still have a set of TP 3s that look very similar.
Stopped using them about 4 years ago after 10 years of use.
£40 they cost me and loved using them, the shafts were on the way out so ended up buying some new mizzys in the end.

They do look pretty strange now with the squared off toe but I remember how much I used to love the look of them.

Pretty sure I'd get on fine with those bats might just take a bit of adjusting to!
