Following on from the "If you could" thread,
For those of you who replied, as you don't have a magic wand, what are you trying to do to help in your own problem area?
Lessons?
Practice?
Nothing?

Ps. Thanks for the plug Phil :)

Can't do much about my bunker shots at the moment, I can't get near a course what with the weather and the practice bunker is frankly pants at our place anyway, but I am having a few lessons and putting in hours and hours at the range to try to groove the swing changes the pro has introduced.

ps - no problem Bob, since we played Cottingham my putting average has been below 30! :)

Bunker play was my nemesis at times last year, I shall go to the practice bunker in the early spring and practice until all the sand has gone.

I will also have the occasional hour lesson to check everything is still ok - then into competitions with my new golf bats!

Single figures this year , I hope

Chris

Had a a couple of lessons and now practising what I was taught. Chipping and pitching have definately improved but I need to be able to do it consistently when it matters so maybe it's more a mental thing now. Just relax and let the shot happen and not think too much or get too tense.

Have decided to make an effort to remember that I'm not Phil Mickleson around the green and to play a little more conservative. Going to work on a couple shots I worked on with pro from inside 50 yards when the weather improves too.

With regards to chipping and pitching, its practise, practise, practise for me (when the weaher relents). I had a check up lesson on my short game and have a couple of keys to focus on. Have also just bought myself a nice new casio camera so that I can start recording my practise sessions and analysing better.

I plan to get lessons and practice hard on my swing plane and weight shift which I am pretty positive is screwing up my driving.

Don't forget all the reading and watching videos too. That's what my game improvement plan hinges on.

And you've played virtual golf :)

I'm getting 5 lessons for my Christmas to sort out a few things but I've no idea when I'll get them as the course is still under snow, I can't go to the range at the moment because it's shut and the cat keeps chasing after my balls when I putt in the livingroom.

All I can do at the moment is a few stretches, some situps and pushups and try to not get too fat over the next 3 weeks.
