All,

We're looking for a few decent questions to put to Gary Leboff for the mental column this month. Any ideas? Thanks for your help...

Let the mental issues begin!

Why do i ignore the little voice in my head that says"you have the wrong club in your hand for this shot" but you hit the shot anyway, and you realise he was right.

Why does he also tell me im not lined up right, and i still ignore him,and hes also right again.

Am i having any sort of mental block that makes me ignore this little voice.

After 3 stabbing your 3rd consecutive green, is it medically better for you to....

A - have a full blown, shaft snapping, expletive laden tantrum, thus getting it out your system and condemning the guilty putter back to hell

B - try to suppress your rage and stay positive

C - simply accept you are a pish putter and have a cry

How do you deal with your bogey hole/s, the one's you have played countless different ways and it still spanks you every time.

What is the best way to deal with perceived injustice? For example, you hit a slight push into the light rough, see the ball bounce but when you get there the ball is nowhere to be found.

If I slice out of bounds I know I have hit a bad shot and deserve the punishment - if i hit a decent shot and the ball 'disappears' I find it much harder to deal with mentally and tend to carry this over for a few holes.

Obviously I am speaking from experience when there was a rollover of 8 £1 skins on the line last Sunday   :D

I used to play with a player that talked negative about golf all the way round,i-e "i new i was going to do that."i knew that was going to happen"and it did. What is his mental weakness?.

You've played with Jacetheace then ? :D

How can I develop two mind sets one for practice when I'm bedding in swing changes and one for rounds when I need to use whatever frog-in-a-blender swing it is that I've brought to the party?

How do you let bad holes go. The pros erase it from their memory almost immediately, certainly until after the round, but I can't let it go. I try and focus on the next hole and not to try and chase the score make up for the dropped shots but I'll stand over a shot and just think "don't do what you did on the 10th"

Why do you seem to only remember the bad shots you have played on a hole, rather than the good ones. I can remember sh..ks i've hit from 30 years ago.

Why can I play good golf when i'm on my own, but as soon as someone is watching i all goes wrong, even though I feel i'm not doing anything different

How do you break the news to your playing partner that there is a damp patch on his trousers and he smells of wee?

If you are not playing well, at all, and yet have scrambled it round significantly under your h/cap for 15 holes, and then get a wait on the tee, how do you close it out. I find getting going again after a wait, with a hot card difficult. Easy on the day when golf is no effort, but hard when you are having to force the score.
