Just back from our morning competiton today, absolutely frazzled, so hot and dry for April and rock solid underfoot, feet are in pieces (waiting for new shoes makes it frustrating!!!). Very little shade makes it hard to get out of it for a few minutes too :(

Anyone else suffering?

Can highly recommend the Ecco Street shoes (the ones that Freddie Couples wears).....sooooooooo comfy and easier on the feet in these baking conditions.

Found it tough wednesday and Thursday in the heat.

What I did see last summer was quite good though. A guy who had a electric trolley put his umbrella up on the holder so it was up all day and he could walk under the umbrella and keep in the shade. Thought it was a great idea to be fair to him.

The initial... "what on earth is that guy doing with his brolley up" soon turned to "fair play that's quite a good idea..." :)

We where out at 10.15 this morning. When I arrived at the club my car showed 19ºc. Was very pleasant teeing off. By the 3rd hole it was 23ºc and very humid. Lots of water drank.
Just as we hit the 14th there was a sudden drop in temp and a massive gust in wind (think "the happening" type wind, out of nowhere and then gone).. the heavens opened about 5 mins later. Been rumbling thunder all morning but this came out of no where. Most odd

wow id have paid good money for the downpour on the 14th tee lol. car said over 30 degrees when i got back to it but think it wasnt too far off

cheers rick, just ordered a pair of adidas tour 360s, hard finding em to fit my feet lol

I've just been out to my car and the temp guage says 37 degrees C - I know it's standing in the Sun but FFS it's April.....

I hate it.

How it was about 9am would do me for the whole of summer. It's raining now here which no doubt means we're in for a few more days heat.

As above, for April it's crazy!

April showers to bring May flowers here. Currently 12 degrees and rained all afternoon. Lovely evening now though, pleasant sunshine and looking good for tomorrow.

We had a bit of a haze at Gullane off the sea, 9 deg starting off at 8.45am, got up to about 12 deg with zero wind but coming down 17th could feel the rain coming and its been wet all afternoon, going off now, glad we got out this morning.
First rain we've seen in weeks and much colder than of late but rain badly needed.
Really enjoyed it, first game since August and wen't ok considering, shoulder held up ok but swing was very over the top with everything going straight left, need to build up some golf fitness and get some practice.

Well it's been red hot all day here in sunny Wolverhampton but it's clouded over and looks like the rain is about to say hello for a little while. Golf course will benefit from it like. :)

We started at 12:30 and played all afternoon, it was flipping hot, but fantastic fun, although the ciders delivered at the 7th and 12th went down very well, they didnt help my golf. Got a round booked on Monday but waiting until 2:30, lovely jubbly.

Played yesterday and today, both my new pairs of footjoys performed admirably, could've walked round all day. I'd sooner play in the sun the cold and rain

We teed off at 8 yesterday and today. Today felt much hotter than yesterday and a tad too warm to be comfy in for my liking. At least the weather cheered up a dismal round and I could watch Hawkeye make a PB

It would have been the perfect day for golf up here if it hadn't been for the constant drizzle. Sun came out for the last 4 holes which was nice and dried the stuff off.
Course needed the rain though .

Factor 60 sun cream and a wide brimmed cricket hat today.

still needed 3 x lucozades though.

Fantastic weather and a real downpour tonight to give the course some life back

BBQ planned for tomorrow may be drowned out but golf was more important

:D
