The toughest challenge in golf is back!

Have you got the balls?

Have you got what it takes to play 72 holes, hit 300 shots and walk 20 miles – all in one day? Take a shot and help make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer.

Visit www.macmillan.org.uk/golf for more information and to register.

Many thanks,
The Macmillan Golf Team

So he is promoting a charity event, which we are probably aware of already from last year, for a major charity, who do great work. He isn't selling anything. What's the issue?

I'm up for a local event (not prepared to travel miles, do 4 rounds and travel miles back again). If HTL is up for another one I'll join him and any other takers. We started at 4.20 am last year but the course we had the use of waived our green fees for the day and sent marshalls out in front of us to clear the way. We were done by 6.30pm but then again we were a 2 ball as two others let us down at the last minute

I did it 2 years ago around one course (Alford) as a four ball.
Last year we did it again but at 4 different courses (both Newmachar, Oldmeldrum and Meldrum House) again as a 4 ball.

This year we are taking a break, gets difficult asking the same people for sponsorship. Hope to get involved again in the coming years.

I would love to do it, I asked at my club and they advised me to put it to the commitee, but I cant get 3 other players. I think I would find it very tough going, back issues etc, but if it were easy, sponsors would be harder to get!!

Good luck to anyone that does it!

I was thinking about doing this but getting a fourball together is the tricky part. I'm definately up for it if it's something local

Good stuff fella, just need one more to do it properly!

I'm up for it if there's a space. Haven't met any of you guys yet so we might hate each other by the end but there's only one way to find out :)

Hawkeye - we'll probably all be too tired to hate each other!!! Homer - am happy with your suggestion of different courses.
