Just bought a set of MacGregor MT MId Irons, find them very easy to hit high, straight and long. Have gained about 10 yds over my old Ping G15 and more accurate. Anyone else tried these Irons, and if so what do you think of them.
Bought them of Ebay for £200 (brand new 4-GW Steel) from a trusted dealer, and had Pro at my local course fit them to me for Loft, Lie, Lenth etc.
Can't believe how good they are for that price.

I've not tried these but MacGregor are one of my favourite golf brands. They have always made top quality gear and over the years provided clubs for many top players, most famously Jack Nicklaus but also more recently Olazabal, Darren Clarke and Greg Norman.

Some of their classic forgings are among the best looking irons ever made in my opionion and their recent MT range which included forged blades and cavities got very good reviews.

It is a shame they are no longer a big brand but they still use top quality components from what I can tell and it's good to hear their clubs still do the business on the course.

These are serious Irons and they look great at address, not huge like the Ping G15's, they feel good and are very forgiving. They also look good in the bag.
MacGregor is now owned by Calloway so they still use top quality components. Down at the range everybody wants to try them and most comment on how good they feel and look.
Can't understand why they don't get more publicity, maybe Calloway dont want them to take sales away from their popular Irons.
