I had a wee chuckle at Ian's bad luck.......shouldn't really, I know.
stern baked nerd......oohh, that's harsh, he seems alright.
The one who's driving me crazy is Immelmann, HOW LONG? mate? over every full shot......5 1/2 hours...no wonder...
The rule's state "The player must play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines that the Committee may establish. Between completion of a hole and playing from the next teeing ground, the player must not unduly delay play"
or something......standing there looking at the ball with your club sat on the ground in your grip to the right and not doing anything for 2-3 minutes.......
Obviously the masters committee don't bother with guidelines...
Poulters 2 shanks were great, the 2nd one was a belter, full blooded. My mate text me to say he reckoned if he aimed at the left hand edge of the lake at 16 he may have a chance of going close for hole in 1 number 2 with that tough pin placement!!
Thought that Torrance was being mighty kind when he said the 1st one was a 'skinny slice'.....but we all knew it was an unmentionable!
I liked how Poulter put them down to a bad lie !!! which makes it sound as if it was'nt his fault. Come off it Poults!! who's he trying to kid ? this is Augusta National we are talking about here, there is no such thing as a bad lie there.
It just exsposed his frailties in playing off anything other than a FLAT lie.
i dont think you can say that unless you are standing right beside him, tv doesn't really show if he is lying in an old divot, if the ball is sitting slightly down etc ,i am sure some of it is trying to cover his embarrassment but he should be used to it, if my memory serves me right did he not do the same last year or the year before that?
Come on now folks, this is a bit one sided. Tiger made a muck up of a short club into one of the greens and hit a bunker that should not have been anywhere in his mind. Justin rose took more than one or two shots too many on a par 5 yesterday. I could go on, I think regardless of previous (mis) quotations in the press, he is still british and should the rest of the uk chasing the jacket fail, It would still be nice to see a fellow GB'er win.
If Poulter was the last chance of a Brit winning I would be roaring him on, but Boabski is right, IP has a history of tommy tanks at Augusta. I wonder what his excuse would be if he played at my track. He would have 36 shanks.
