Looking for a new course

Hi,

fairly new to the forum. May be moving to the Halesowen area near Birmingham and wanted some recommendations for clubs to join. Looking for a challenging course, fees of £600 max and no joining fees. Any pointers welcome.

Depending on how far you want to travel there a number of courses available. I don't know about joining fees though.

Halesowen will be close but the course has some crossovers of fairways I think. I played it a long time ago so can't remember exactly. Don't know what the quality is like.

Stourbridge will have a joining fee and has many crossovers. The course is great when empty but awful when busy.

Kidderminster is a good course but may have a joining fee.

Wharton Park at Bewdley is where I play and is a good test. You could join and defer any fee over a number of years.

There are loads really - Hagley, Churchill - 9 hole, Dudley- hilly, Bromsgrove .
