I'm a little embarrassed to say this will be my fourth outing round this links.
You are right, of course, and I can tell you it's been the same experience every time on that first tee. It doesn't fail to get old (no pun intended!).

When I was there an old dear was wheeling her shopping trolley into town, stopped watched me hit and walked off shaking her head. I wouldn't mind but I nailed it straight down the first. Tough audience
