Links vs Parkland

Four words not usually associated with me and the forum - I agree with Smiffy. A strong wind will ask questions whatever type of course you play and so the ability to manufacture shots remains constant. Similarly if/when we get a hot summer most inland courses will have dry approaches and firm greens and do the ability to play the chip and run (a links type shot) from 30-50 yards is another must.
 
I thinks Links golf improves your game. I'm a member at a links and a parkland course and love both, but playing the links has made me a better player than i was when i just played at a parkland course.
