Or a freight train coming my way!

Played in the monthly stableford today shooting 42 points with one blob.
7 FIRs, 8 GIRs with one birdie. ( at least I got my GIRs/birdie conversion right!)
Hit the ball well other than 3 wayward drives from which I recovered well apart from the blob which would have been a 7 as I putted it out anyway. Putting wasn't as good as normal but the greens were very hard to read with plenty of odd ball movement on the way to the hole.
Short game was really good with most chips from inside 3 yards leaving putts under 10ft and most shots inside 75yds on the green.
Felt relaxed throughout the round and didn't get the gitters when I knew I was on a good score.
Weather was fantastic with the sun out and light winds it was a pleasure to be out there.

All I'm wondering now is could this be the light at the end of the tunnel!

Well done that man. Focus on the positives. You've worked hard so reap the rewards. I have made big swing changes this winter but only played one round last week in layers of clohing and in sleet and snow so hardly an ideal barometer. Playing tomorrow so that will be a better test on how far I've come and if we still need to refine the work

I've not made any really big swing changes, although the pro wants me to get my upper body into it a bit more, just been working on a smoother swing, cleaner strikes and not chopping down across the ball.

I have spent all winter with swing thoughts in my head but I have started to change that to trusting the swing I have and just thinking about the target. On Friday I started doing this and it took quiet a bit of getting used to but by the end of the 9 holes it was starting to feel natural again. Today all I thought about was where I wanted the ball to go and most of the time it went where I wanted it to.

I didn't expect it to drop into place this quickly so I'm pretty shocked at how fast I have done it. Last season it took nearly a month to get to where I am after just 9 holes. I will spend a little time on my turn in the backswing but once we get back from Turkey in April I will stick with what I have until October.
