Playing with three pals tomorrow at clitheroe golf club (open qualifying course!) one plays off scratch, another 14, not sure on the third and me 18. I have had 5 lessons since Christmas and a fair bit of practice at the range. We have had this round arranged for the last 2 months as the guy on scratch will hopefully enter the open qualifying this year with it being 40 minutes away. My coach is the pro at this club and I really want to do well as I have been looking forward to tomorrow for weeks! The course is long with tricky greens, so I'm thinking try and hit it far off the tee and leave a pitch in to the green (ala the guys philosophy who does the instruction on golf world on tv, you know the one with the pink tartan pants!)
I just hope all my excitement doesn't disappoint, I feel confident with my new set up and swing and chipping......fingers crossed!!! Just glad it's stayed dry over the last few days as its piddled it down the last few weeks #LETSGETITON
