Let's argue about.....

what I can't fathom are these adjustable drivers.

I want to spend my money and get a driver that I can use - not have to spend months on the range figuring out which configuration is best for me. Does anyone who buys one of these drivers honestly change the setup on a regular basis?

Totally agree! Can't fathom adjusting weights based on the course setup/conditions, wind and all that. Too much reliance on technology.

And don't get me started on the whole switchable-shafts fad...

To me, like offset irons they promote a swing flaw and I dont see the point in that, just learn not to do it.

Maybe people have lives outside of golf and want to enjoy the game?

When will people stop chasing the "perfect" swing on this forum. I have a very strong grip and a flat swing plane, does it worry me? Does it hell, I strike the ball well and enjoy my golf no matter what swing turns up on the day.

I totally with Parmo on this.
As people can see from my Sig. I have listed a draw bias driver.....When i first took the game up i struggled with a slice for nearly 12 months....I couldnt afford lessons anyone i played with didnt want the take the time and see what i was doing wrong and i got so frustrated playing with anything from a driver to a 6 iron that i nealry packed it all in until one day i thought id try the Draw biased driver.....Everything clicked....My slice had transformed into a nice high fade i was really taken back....I began enjoying the game as i was plenty long on par 4's just to warrant a short club into the green.
As i got more educated on the game i realised that it was my grip that was causing the slice and after i sorted this everything started to fall into place.....Im not getting on with the driver presently as it very inconsistent which is probably down to sorting my grip but the club helped me to enjoy and progress in a game that is mentally and physically challenging......

Sorry for the drawn out post but there's so much negativity from people about why a draw biased club shouldnt be used i felt that there might be somebody out there starting with the same problem that i used to have....

Would i use one again if the situation warrented it....Yes.
Would i apologise for using one....No....

Why do so many people want the latest R9 or The latest Nike adjustables.....there basically looking for a flight correction except that you get a spanner to adjust it back when you've learned what was wrong all along.

I agree with you kid2, golf IS about enjoying it but I think your post hits a point squarely on the head.. if you address the cause of your problem then you don't need the draw bias club.

Isn't that like saying Lewis Hamilton doesn't need traction control, therefore I'll switch it off on my Mitsubishi Evo.

If I never left the face open, I'd be close to scratch. To be that good, I'd need to rewind my life about 30 years, start aged 10 and learn to play properly.

As it is, if 60% of my drives fade at the end and the other 40% don't - that's enough to convince me to try a draw-biased driver.

I know where you are coming from, but surely some players try "voodoo" clubs because they are rubbish, other because it tidies up loose ends. I swapped a non-offset rescue for a small-offset rescue, it goes better. I swapped offset irons for less offset irons, they don't dive left at the end, they go better.

PS, my draw driver is back in the shed.....long live the Wilson Spine.....

oh, hold on a minute, that's a voodoo club also... :)

Damn. :)

And thats why im going shopping for a new driver J. :D
I think now the Draw biased is hampering me a bit as i have no problem hitting my woods or any of my irons pretty straight...

On another note had i not bought the Draw biased then i may have fallen out of love with the game and not figured out what i was doing wrong....So i have to Tip my hat to technology and say thankyou... :) :) :)
